Witchcraft in the church

in Church issues / April 01, 2015

When my family and I were searching for a place to worship, we visited several communities before finding a small one not too far from home. At first, we were really happy. People were friendly and warm, and the Pastor seemed to have a real desire to preach the truth. I quickly got myself enrolled in the intercessory group which would gathered every Sunday morning before the service; And for the first time, my husband and I decided to leave our son at the nursery class.

The first week we met J., his wife, and six kids. The brother was caring, happy, and the nicest person I have ever met. He would even volunteer sometimes at the nursery when nobody would show up for the kids.

Near that same time, my son had some bad allergies symptoms. He would cough so much during the night and nothing could help him. At some point I prayed and asked the Lord for help. I wanted to know if his illness was natural, or caused by some kind of evil attack. The Lord answered my prayer that very day in a dream: I saw a man with red curly hair and the Lord told me this man had cast a spell out that causes not only my son’s sickness but many other kids too. (When I got to church that morning, I tried to talk to one of the pastors about my concern; but he didn’t show much interest, so I didn’t insist.)

After a week of prayer, and no medication at all, my son was fine again. It wasn’t until later that I realize that my baby got sick a little after we started to attend that community.

A few months later I gave birth to my little girl. J. was so excited to hear the news. His wife and Him were really eager to see the baby. He wouldn’t stop saying how much he loves new born babies. They came by our home one evening. His wife brought me some essential oils (frankincense, myrrh, etc.) and she explained me how and when to use them for the baby’s care (diaper rashes, eczema, fussiness etc…), She even told me that I could use it for my little boy and explained how she couldn’t live without and how the oil helped her during her difficult pregnancies. I had never heard of aroma therapy before and her testimony made me want to know more. Before leaving they asked to pray for the baby and us.

Later that night, we were all in bed when my husband got up to get something for the baby. I heard him yell; As I was coming to check what was going on, he told me to step back and get the baby while he was dealing with whatever it was. When he came back, I could tell he was upset. He asked me to gather everything J. and his wife brought and he threw them away. Then he told me he found a coiled snake on the threshold of the room, and he knew in his spirit it was evil and that someone had brought it in our home through witchcraft.

We repented that night for letting those people in our home and pray that the Lord would forgive us and protect our children from anything they may have done to them. The most difficult was to forgive ourselves for having exposed our family by being too trustful. We decided to never let our kids in any kind of so called christian day care program, where they could be easy preys for any sorcerer in sheep clothing and only the Lord know how much those programs are targeted.

I’m blessed to be a stay-at-home-mom, and I can’t tell how much I’m thankful for the time I can share with my children.

The last time I saw J. and his wife, they couldn’t look me in the eyes. They were trying to apologize for not being around as much as they would like to. Somehow they knew, that we knew who they were. They never called and never came back.
